This is the new site you see before you. I, El Capitan, having crowned myself "The WebMaster", have some time to spare, and the Peach Stones are on the move once more. Preliminary backing tracks have already been layed down for the new album: "Old Man Taking a Log in a Kayak". It promises to be more thoughtful, more song based and just as shoddy. Tracks currently in progress include: "Rosemary Sings The Peach Stone Blues", "Undead Peaches", "The Peach Stones: We Don't Like You Much", "Doghouse (Crikey! Freestyla Mix)" and "You Know You Want Me (Urination Nation)". Early information points to the album being of similar length to the debut, albeit with a shorter track listing.
In other news, a exciting new project has been unveiled by Crikey! The Peach Stones have been given the go-ahead for the soundtrack to forthcoming movie "Return of the Disco Vampire of Death from Space". It marks the first collaboration with avant garde Swedish composer Minnie Mouse, a long-time friend of the band, as well as a diversifying and broadening of the Peach Stones, already impressive, portfolio. More can be learnt about this on the Official AJAS Website. The AJAS are handling the production and distribution of the film, which will start filming in the summer.

July is here. School is a fast fading memory. Just when you thought the Peach Stones were gone, they return
for one last outing before the world breaks apart. Playing open-air in Klaire's garden, it was a fond farewell to the bands loyal fans. Joyce flew in specially from Greece to be with the Stones, and even Greg "Peach" Stone was present. The Stones ripped through an
impromptu set of covers, having had not a moments rehearsal beforehand. The set began with a spin on an old Queen tune, followed by a blistering version of 2 Princes. Next came versions of Go West, featuring a heart-wrenching duet between Jesus and Joyce, Theme from Pokemon and the
Lumberjack Song, both with Joyce on vox and Jam Out the Jams. The set finished, appropriately, with a
rendition of the Universe Song, with Jesus on vox and Joyce on cow bell. It was a very moving experience for all
present - long may the spirit of the Peach Stones live on.
Unfortunately, due to touring in Europe, acclaimed rock photographer and Stones bass player, Jobin, was unable to make the final gig. His presence was sorely missed - we
dedicate this performance to you, Jobin.

Rumours are spreading about guitarist Crikey, and the musical direction of the band. After the success of the collaboration with DJ
Stevie Hawkins in Feb. there has been increasing talk about the addition of a more modern hip-hop/DJ-ing style to the 'Stones. Will this change the band's direction or will decks and samples
merely enhance that sound you know and love? Only time can tell.

After the unearthing of some early 'Stones recording at Jesus' house new work has begun on a Peach Stones LP, as yet untitled. Tracks may include: "You Spin Me Right Round", "Lump" and "Steamboat Joyce". The recording is
scheduled to be completed around July 15th, and will be available soon after. Keep watching for more details.

GIG NEWS - Klaire Harmer, the president of The Peach Stones Official Fan Club, has agreed to
organize an open-air gig (on her patio) in early July. It going to be a real party, so speak to her for more details and if you would like to request a song for the 'Stones to play, just for you. The Peach Stones care... we love you all.

The Peach Stones played a secret gig on Thursday 17th Feb at a venue in Surrey. They played a short set of originals, consisting of one long version of the
"(Theme from) Jurassic Park". Fans at the gig were shocked at the absence of guitarist Crikey, who had been replaced by a stoned Greg. No comment could be got from the band about this anomaly, and its possible
connotations for the band. When asked whether this was an indication of Crikey's departure from the 'Stones, Jesus replied: "fuck off".

The Peaches Stones played two gigs before the end of the twentieth century. The first
kicked ass, and was at the school, headlining the christmas entertainment (ok, supporting
actually). The second kicked ass and was at "Paper Cuts". Joyce was (of course) well
received at both, and Jesus' meowing was particularly notable at the x-mas
entertainment. Top bollocks.

News has been leaked from the 'Peaches camp that the three band members are negotiating the
addition of a forth member. The new kid on the block, known only as "Joyce" is rumored to be a keyboard player. When Jesus was asked about the talks he replied:
"fuck off".

The Peach Stone lay down their first demos. The result is rough and ready, but full of promise for the future. Entitled "The Peach Stones' Cream", it is
available on Minidisc from Jesus for free.

The Peach Stones were formed when Crikey decided he was fed up with the pomposity and inaction of Nicholson and the sloth and inaction of Batfink. Phoning Jesus, his rhythm-section partner in Batfink, and finding him similarly frustrated, talks began. The decided to form a covers bands, and it was immediately obvious to both what the style would be - carefree and happy-go-lucky, totally stress free. The immediate question, therefore, was, with a drummer and a guitarist or bassist, who would complete the line up? They turned to long time friend and on/off (mostly off) guitarist, Jobin, to play bass and so something quite unique was born... the rest is (recent) history.
